Bridges in St. Petersburg
Palace Bridge over the Neva (1916)
The Palace Bridge connects the city centre and the Vasilevsky Island. It is a draw bridge which raises in summer to let big ship pass. The night view of the drawn and illuminated Palace Bridge is one of the most popular photo spots during the White Nights in St. Petersburg. (The south bank of the Neva River offers the best view of the bridge.)
